The pic is just divine dahling!

I wanted to tell you the story about Bethany's Clarinet .. we have been renting it from BrookMayes for 6 years .. so we had a credit from the rental for $2400.00 ... we are supposed to use it to purchase either the rental or towards a new clarinet .. we decided to get her a new one for contests and such and just keep renting the old one for band season ... welp the sales guy told me that he had a Buffet E-11 for $2,200.00 and I could use my credit for it ... I said "yes, that would be awesome ... besides Bethany was leaving that next day to go to Florida with the band for contests and some fun, she can take her new horn." So, we did all the paperwork .. got the clarinet .. I signed a new contract for the rental and we even bought a warranty ... I ended spending out of pocket $265.00 in all ...
Got home, everyone is excited .. she calls her Clarinet tutor and her Band Director to tell them the good news ...
The next day, I get a call from BrookMayes and it's the salesguy telling me that he made a terrible mistake ... he was not supposed to sale me the Clarinet on SALE ... this is a $4,800.00 Clarinet which was on sale for $2200.00 and I cannot use my credit for it .. I was confused .. I said, "Well, then I could be a regular customer coming in and buy it for $2200.00, but, because I have 6 years of rental credit I cannot do that .. I would have to put the credit towards the $4800.00 and pay $2600.00? He said, "yes, so could you please bring it back and we will work something out." I told him that Bethany took it to Florida ... I thought he was going to freak out! He started yelling and everything .. I said, "Listen, we told you yesterday that we were getting it for her to take on this trip and besides, you made the sale and it's a done deal." He kept saying he needed the Clarinet back ... I told him that I would get back with him after discussing it with my husband ...
Welp, I told Charlie and we called her Band Director and her Tutor and they both said to keep it ... the music store salepeople and management do shady things all the time to customers, especially Brookmayes .. they also said that they can make up the difference real fast by selling one Tuba .. ha!
I have my contracts and my proof of purchase ... Charlie and I were just concerned if it was the right thing to do ... the Band Director and Tutor kept reassuring us that it was okay .. we had all those years of rental fees .. we have 5 years of rental credit on Phillip's violin, too ... but, I am not even going to attempt to collect on it ... ha!
Anyway, the salesguy called back, and I told him that we are keeping the clarinet because the sale was final and he said ok .. he acted like it was nothing after that ... so I guess the Band Director was right .. Brookmayes was just trying to put the pressure on me at first ...
So, Bethany, in reality has a $4800.00 clarinet for $265.00 .. ha!
And she loves it .. plays like butter! I am sure she will make Honors Band with it .. Praise the Lord! ha!
Welp, I think I wrote a book here .. just thought you would get a kick out of that story ..
Have a blessed day girl!
Hugs! Connie
