Branson Vacation - Days 2&3

Friday was overcast and rainy, but just light rain. So the kids went swimming and went out on the paddleboats again.

Greg with Jon, Ben, and Pierce

Aldon with Jon, Pierce and Ben in the back

Zachary and Grandpa

Our plan for the afternoon was to go to Celebration City which opened at 3 pm. The weather had started to clear up and it hadn't rained in a while, so we decided to go. About 10 minutes after we arrived it started to pour and didn't let up! So we got rainchecks and drove to Springfield to meet Jack and Lori and their kids Emma and Jackson at Incredible Pizza. The food wasn't great but the kids had a great time. We said goodbye to Aldon and Pierce who had to head home. We brought Emma and Jackson back to the cabin with us to spend the night and stopped at Krispy Kreme for donuts to have for breakfast!

Saturday was Silver Dollar City day! Love that park! Greg and Zachary took off first thing to ride all the roller coasters. Grandma and Grandpa went to all the shows. I had the kids! Jack and Lori met us later in the day.

Scary mummies!

Playing with Floam in the craft barn

Oh look, I was on this trip!

Is he having fun yet?

Zachary talked Benjamin into this picture!

One of the few rides Jackson would actually go on.

Jon and Emma after getting soaked on a ride. I got soaked too and I mean completely soaked!

Best buds!

We left the park about 5pm and headed back to the cabin where we cooked out hamburgers for dinner. It was nice to just hang out with Jack and Lori. We miss them so much. (They moved from Albuquerque 2 1/2 years ago.) Great Day!

After 8 days at Disney I am really missing Silver Dollar City! So nice and manageable! I hope we'll get to go Fall Break.

Looks like the kiddos had a good time! Did you stay at one of the Branson hotels by the lake?
