No TPR

Well, the trial finished today. J will be going to live with her dad. There just wasn't any evidence that he would not be a good father to her. I'm honestly not sure why she wasn't already returned to him. We are very sad to see her go, but we are thankful that she will finally (after 4 1/2 years) be through with foster care.

The good news for us and for J is that the judge ordered that a meeting take place immediately to set up a transition plan and that her dad enroll her in school near him. Our fear was that the case would still drag on and she would have to change schools as well as homes.

We aren't sure of a time frame yet, but J's attorney mentioned 2 months. We'll know more after that meeting.

Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers. Please keep praying as this will be a difficult transition for J. We plan to tell her Thursday afternoon with her therapist.

All my prayers and thoughts for perfect peace from above, a great transition, and that eternal knowledge of what you have placed in this darling child's heart and soul during her stay with your family. I can't imagine how hard it will be for all of you, so am glad God is with you to help in this next journey. Lynette
