Doll Blanket

So someone got a new doll yesterday. And someone's doll needed a blanket. So someone - that would be me - found some yarn and quickly crocheted a blanket.

We must be doing ok if I found time to actually crochet something!

What was I thinking!?

I finished all the squares for the crochet-a-long blanket I'm making. This week's instructions were how to put it together.

That's a lot of sewing!

Spiders!

I couldn't find a star bookmark pattern that Jonathan liked, but we did find this one that he and Benjamin loved! Now go read a book!

Here's a link to the pattern if you are interested.

Trying something new...

I was at Michael's (the craft store) the other day. They didn't have the yarn I needed, so I was looking at other things and decided I wanted to try something new. It's called thread crochet. It's really just crochet with a tiny hook and a thin crochet thread. Here's my first project, a bookmark. Those are supposed to be hearts, but hey, it was my first try! Now Jonathan wants me to make him one too - "yellow, with stars, no hearts" he says.

I'm also working on a pair of fingerless gloves for Zachary. He wants them to keep his hands warm during 6:30 am marching band practice. Maybe Zachary will let me take a picture of his hands when I'm through!

Crochet Bag

I guess now I'm officially a crocheter as well as a knitter. Look at the bag I made!

It is the String Bag from Lily made from Sugar n Cream yarn. The color is Buttercream Ombre. I love this color!

Happy Knitting or Crocheting!
