Year end wrap up

I have posted much about it, but I completed Project 365! I took a picture a day for the whole year 0f 2009. And I scrapbooked a page a week. It was quite a chore to keep up with, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I'll have an album we will all enjoy looking back on.

Here's a link to all the photos if you are interested. Project 365 photos.

I learned something new in the last week of 2009. I can now Fair Isle knit which is knitting with 2 colors of yarn at the same time.
I've ordered yarn to make a Christmas stocking using this technique. I figure if I start now I might have new stockings for all of us by next Christmas.

One of the best parts of our year was the last 3 weeks with Greg's parents visiting. I love them dearly and cried when the left Monday. Maybe 2010 will be the year we get to move closer to them.

See you next year!

Digiscrapping update

I am completely caught up with my digital scrapbooking!

When I started up again last year, my goal was to get caught up and stay caught up with scrapping my photos. I was about 2 1/2 years behind. It took me a whole year, but as of this week I'm current!

This vacation two years ago was all I had left. Here's a few of my favorite layouts.

I'm keeping up with my Project 365 too. It's been fun trying new ideas.

And finally the last few pages from this spring.

Project 365

So I've been taking a picture every day and putting them in an on-line Picassa album. But now I've decided that I will do one srcapbook page per week as well with my pictures. Here's week 1.

After spending way too much time searching on-line for the perfect digital kit, I decided to stick with a Creative Memories kit, the Primary Digital Power Palette, and keep it simple. I'll use this kit for the whole year and hopefully have a nice album to document the year. I'll still be doing my regular album as well with birthdays, vacations, and events. I still need to finish Christmas too.

Happy scrapbooking!

Lazy Boys and Laundry

So have you heard about Project 365. I hadn't until a few days ago, but it sounds like a fun project so I started today, a day late as usual. I won't post a photo here every day. You would probably faint if I actually posted every day. But I'm going to keep a Picassa Album of the photos. Not sure about scrapbooking them. I'll have to think about that part.

Anyway, here's the first picture (on the 2nd!) and this really does sum up my day. The boys being lazy watching TV and laundry all over the place. Not sure how many loads I did today, too many. The dryer is still buzzing me as I type - hate that sound!
