Nerf Battle

My friend Kristen is celebrating a little boy's life today with a blog party. Mason is celebrating his defeat of cancer by having The World's Largest Nerf Party!

It didn't take much convincing for my boys to get in on this party. They love all things Nerf! Here's their battle in honor of Mason.

3/13/10 Made decision to adopt from foster care

3/22/10 Mailed application

4/6/10 First appointment with social worker for fingerprints and paperwork

4/24/10 First homestudy visit and interviews

5/1/10 - 5/15/10 PRIDE training

5/22/10 Second homestudy visit

6/23/10 Homestudy complete and submitted to CYFD

7/21/10 Signed Foster Adoptive Parent Agreement. We're approved!

8/25/10 In the computer and officially a waiting family.

12/15/10 Decide to take concurrent foster placements

1/3/11 On the list and waiting for foster placement.

2/4/11 First placement call. Declined the placement.

2/8/11 J (5) and M (1) placed with us.

6/21/11 Signed Adoption Placement Agreement for M.

8/2/11 TPR for J's dad failed. Transition ordered.

9/2/11 J moves to dad's.

9/4/11 Calling M by her new name: Emily

9/29/11 Final TPR granted in Emily's case. She's free!

11/18/11 Finalization! She's all ours!
