Knitting Help

I got a phone call the other day. The caller said a friend of mine (Shellie Ziegler for those that know her) gave her my name and number. She is a new knitter and needed help for a baby sweater she was making. She found a mistake and couldn't figure out how to fix it. I wasn't so sure I was ready to tackle other knitters' mistakes, I have enough trouble with my own. But I said I'd try to help. So she came over yesterday and was able to find her mistake. Somehow she had a stitch that got slipped without being knit. We just had to take out 2 rows (120 stitches each!) back to the missed stitch. It was really neat to be able to help someone else!

I finished the baby blanket I was working on a couple of weeks ago. I haven't posted a picture yet because I am going to add a ribbon to it and don't know what color to get yet. It's for Jonathan's teacher who is expecting next fall. If she finds out the sex of the baby before the end of school I will add a pink or blue ribbon otherwise I'll pick something generic. After I add the ribbon, I'll get a pic up.

Now I'm working on a bunch of dishcloths (3 1/2 more to go) for my Bunco friends. (Not the ones I did for you Melody - those take too long!) It's my turn to host in June.

I think I'm going to try a stuffed animal next. I just ordered a pattern book. I had a $15 certificate from Amazon.com. I can't wait to check it out and pick my first project.

Reading your blog with a cup of coffee and toast in the morning...ahh! What a way to start the morning! I wish I had the desire to knit! Then again, maybe not! You should charge for your services! :)
