A reason to knit
This is Tyler. Tyler has Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. He's been through a lot in the last few months.
And this is Tyler's blanket knit by the loving hands of six ladies from the southwest United States. One of those pairs of hands belong to me. None of us has ever met in real life, but we were able to create something beautiful for a sick little boy.
This is one of the reasons I knit. To bring a little joy to others.
To learn more about Tyler, visit his CaringBrigde site.
To get involved knitting for others visit the charity knitting board on KnittingHelp.com.

What a beautiful blanket and little boy!
I wish I knew how to knit. I've tried - just couldn't catch on.
I'm proud to be your friend!
That's really neat Robin, thanks for sharing...
Beautiful! Both the blanket and the gift of love...how lovely to dedicate your gifts to something good and noble that blesses someone else.
(Also, thanks for dropping by my blog with your encouraging words.)
Precious--blanket and boy! What a wonderful thing to do. I'll add him to my prayers.
