Adoption Update

We had a home visit today (finally!) with our adoption social worker. She talked to us about the matching and transition processes and clarified a few things from our home study. She will be entering our homestudy and information in the waiting family database this week. Then our info will be available to all the adoption workers in the state. These workers will contact us when they have a child who might be a match for us. We will also be able to attend events designed for waiting families and available children to meet. The next one is a Saturday in September that we probably won't be able to attend due to soccer.

So now the real waiting begins. We're hoping and praying it won't take too long.
