Still here

I'm still here! Things are going well. Somehow it feels like the girls have always been here. And though things are sometimes tough with J, both girls are a part of our family now.

We've gotten into a pretty good routine. The boys do their school work in the morning with me going back and forth between them and the girls. Jon, Ben, and J have their regular trampoline date at 10am break time. M has lunch about 11:30 and nap at noon (and usually sleeps about 2 hours). Somewhere in there I get lunch fixed for everyone else.

J plays with the boys in the afternoons and they get their music practicing and reading done. I try to get a little computer time while M is napping. Dinner is around 5 or 5:30. We start getting the girls ready for bed around 7:15. J is still having a hard time at bedtime (crying, tantruming), but they are usually settled by 8pm. Then we spend a little time with the boys and sometimes watch a favorite tv show before they go to bed.

By this time I'm beat, but I try to get a little knitting done before I head to bed. I'm working on a baby blanket for a friend due in 2 months. Hope I can finish it!

J's visit and appointment schedule is still crazy, (Monday mornings, every other Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoons, Friday nights) but her Saturday morning Spanish class has only 2 weeks left. And her social worker says we don't have to continue. That is a big relief to us.

Things are still up in the air with J. Supposedly we are waiting on a court date for TPR (termination of parental rights). Hopefully that will be soon and we can know what will happen.
