Sibling visit

A few days ago we met with Emily's former foster family.  They had previously adopted 2 of her siblings.  They are 5 (boy) and 4 (girl), so they remembered Emily and were very happy to see her.  I don't know if Emily really remembered them or not, but she was very comfortable with them.  They are full siblings and all look alike.  It was neat to see them all together, although a little weird for me.  Emily is our daughter now and a part of our family, but she has connections to other people out there.

It was really good to be able to talk to the parents as they have met Emily's bio parents and have a lot of information about the family.  We also spent a lot of time talking about J.  They had her for 4 years and really miss her and worry about how she is doing with bio dad.  I think they are kind of glad we had her when she went home as that would have been extremely hard for them to deal with.

They gave me a disc of photos from Emily's first year with them, so now I have baby pictures!  I had a few from a photo album given to us when we first got her, but this is a priceless gift that most foster adopted kids don't have.  There are also a couple pics of the bio parents.  I'm glad I have them, but will probably never show them to Emily unless/until she asks.

She was just as cute!!!
