Update

I'm sure you've all been worried, so I thought I'd better give you an update. The dryer is still alive!!! Greg made it home from Florida safe and sound yesterday afternoon. Within an hour of his arrival home I had him checking on the ailing machine. He found a dryer sheet in the vent hose. I guess that's not a good thing. So now the dryer is working again and I have way too much laundry piled up!

Life and death

A truly valued member of our household is teetering on the bring between life and death. He has faithfully served us for more than 16 years, but it looks as though he won't be with us much longer. I thought he had died yesterday, but now it seems he might warm our clothes a little longer.

Yeah, its the dryer. After more than an hour of tumbling Zach's jeans, they were still wet. It was still running, but there was no heat. I took the rest of my clothes to my friends house (she has a brand new dryer!) After 45 minutes and a nice visit with my friend, I was home and decided to try the dryer one more time. It worked, but there was a funny smell. I'm sure that's not good. Of course Greg is out of town until Friday. I'm not doing any more laundry until he gets home and checks it out. I'll keep you posted!
